Pokemon Jigsaw Puzzle [Pokemon]

I bought this along with the Chobits artbook I mentioned last time, but I didn't have the time to put it together until last night. It measures about 38cm x 53cm big but only consist of 300 large pieces (its RM100 pricetag doesn't reflect that XD). Still I bought it because I obviously love anything Pokemon, although with my personal record of 5000 pieces I want a bit more challenge than a mere 300 pieces. It's a Japanese made puzzle based from the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl anime titled Secret Forest Base.

So, I begin to put all the pieces together starting from the sides. And finished it about 2 hours later. But inside the puzzle box is something I never seen before...... a packet containing some sort of latex (I only managed to understand the Kanji character on the manual) which I have to apply on top the finished puzzle. I guess it's some sort of filler for the gap between the pieces.

I didn't have enough money to buy a frame, so I used an illustration board instead. And here's the final result. Oh, I used a plastic wrapper to wrap it before I get myself a frame for it.

Your Eyes Only: Chobits Art Book (updated with picture) [Purchases]

With the help from a good friend, I ordered Chobits: The Chobits Collection anime DVD boxset from Amozon.com. But the bad news is that I have to wait at least 2 months for it to arrive on my doorstep.

And today, when browsing at Borders (The Gardens). I found this artbook in the Manga section. This is the perfect compliment to the DVD I have ordered. And since the manga series is kinda out of my reach in terms of its total price (8 volumes for RM 34.90 each), I have to settle with this RM 61.90 artbook featuring illustrations by CLAMP.

The wait for the DVD boxset now is a bit easier thanks to this little eye candy.

R.I.P Monitor [Breakdowns]

Last week, after seeing enough of the dust that has accumulated on top on my 17in CRT monitor. I decided to do some little cleaning. Actually, moving a huge CRT monitor and wipe it clean is not something I wanted to do...... ever, but I can feel the heat wave radiating from monitor itself when being used.

So I moved the lumbering screen from the table, wipe it clean so the ventilation holes are free from dust, and placed it back where it belong.

Turn the power switch on...... WTF! Where are the colour red gone!? Being nervous, I gave the 5 years old monitor some whacking hoping that will fix it like most people done it on TVs.

.......... nothing shows on the screen anymore.

Moral of this story: Always clean your electronics (with the right way of course!) and the fixing method you always use on the TV (giving a good whack), does not work on PC monitors.

Waluigi Pinball - 2:08:683 [Highscore]

This Mario Kart DS time trials record is a bit different from the ones I posted before. As you can see, it's made using one of Princess Peach's karts in the game, the Light Tripper. It's a known fact among most players that this particular kart isn't exactly the best kart to execute the snaking technique, due to her relatively low acceleration and high drift stats.

Most of my record breaking attempts here ended up in failure when I got crushed by the pinballs rolling on the track, or missing crucial mini turbos that cost me a lot of time.

So why use her instead of more popular karts like Egg 1 or Dry Bomber? The answer is easy. I'm a Princess Peach fan, and that's that.

I Hate Spam [Rants]

This is likely the result of putting my E-mail address as a clickable link here and harvested by many spam-bots roaming the Internet. Although Gmail does a good job of saperating all the spams from legitimate mails. It's still annoying to see them accumulating in the Spam section nontheless.

So what kind of spam I got? Well we have services that claim to give my websites (in this case, my blog) more hits, web hosting offer, phishing mails. But mostly it's just offers and promotions for penis enlargements and sex enhancing drugs. And I do not want to have anything to do with any of them!

As you can see now, I changed the E-mail address on the sidebar. It's still the same E-mail, but at least any non-human will not able to recognise it. XD
